And in Other News...

First off, the new and improved (expanded and updated) MAN OH MAN: Writing Quality M/M Fiction is now available in print. I'm hopeful we'll eventually get it in digital. Keep your fingers crossed. Meanwhile...print.

For those of you who feel your social media reach has exceeded your grasp, my monthly column for Jessewave is on alternative platforms where you might actually gain some traction. Or not. The catch is you do have to show up and participate in positive and meaningful ways. But that's life everywhere, isn't it?

The Hell You Say, the third book in the Adrien English series is now available in audio. Chris Patton is narrating the entire series. And he seems to get better and better with each book.

Also coming to audio quite soon is the In From the Cold collection of I Spy stories. And -- this is very experimental, but I'm excited to see the final result -- four narrators take turns with the 13 stories in the In Sunshine or In Shadow print collection. Both of those should be out by the end of the summer.

The next installment of The Haunted Heart is up at Wattpad.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Finally, I have an interview with my dear friend Harper Fox over at my blog today. Harper's Viking romance sage Brothers of the Wild North Sea recently received a starred review from Publisher's Weekly

Fantastic that the audio of The Hell You Say is out - I've already been to Audible and have bought it with the credit I've been saving for it. Can't wait to listen - I love Chris Patton's interpretation.

I'll save a credit for In From the Cold and another for In Sunshine or in Shadow. You're really spoiling us!

I suspect I'm enjoying the audio books as much as the rest of you! ;-)

You know, Josh, when Chris Patton did the first book I had reservations and didn't care for his narration that much. As I listened to it more and the next books came out I've come to really appreciate his narration and his nuances. He really does get better with each new book! Now, I can't imagine anyone else doing this series :)

And I can't wait for the ebook version of Man oh Man to come out. *bounces with anticipation*

Chris has definitely made the series his own. I'm not sure I wouldn't hear his voice in my head if I were to start writing the characters again!

The Haunted Heart is coming along nicely. I'm glad you didn't spin out the ghost in the bathroom mirror for too long, since it was obvious it was coming.

Flynn seems suddenly rather young—not a complaint, I assure you. The bit about a motherly 911 call is all too real, though. I've been there. Seriously, I've had the police at the front door after a long-distance call to them from England (which was how I learned that my phone line had come down in a storm). And I'm not young. Mothers never grow up. So to speak.

I know. I toyed with not having anything in the mirror, but that would simply have been disappointing. The reader is waiting for it, dreading it, and wanting it all at the same time.

This is one of the weird parts of writing in public. Initially I thought Flynn would perhaps be older, but then I realized, the more I wrote him, no. No, his underlying rage is youthful. He hasn't learned acceptance.

I'll do that. I suspect it's going to be a wait. :-(

Not to be a pest, but do you have any idea when Death of a Pirate King will be available in audio? I know The Hell You Say JUST came out, but the end of that one always breaks my heart, so I don't want to give it a listen until I know the next one is shortly on its way. Like, as soon a THYS finishes shortly. =)

Thanks.

DoaPK is later in the fall. End of August? End of September? And then Dark Tide is scheduled for December (which means it probably won't be out until January).
