Since LL is gone I thought I'd throw in a witty comment in her stead and use the icon I know she'd pull out for this (which I made for her...*brushes shoulder off*).
But...drawing a blank besides "Dude!" and shaking my head. So *inserts witty ZAM!-like comment here*
Feel free to laugh uproariously at her joke.
Look at you, all Brave New Girled.

Ah yes. LL enjoying a Rocky Mountain Writing High, isn't she?

Yeah, everyone thinks comedy is easy until they try and make a living at it.
Feel free to laugh uproariously at her joke.
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHAAA
Hee. You're a rockstar, J.
LL enjoying a Rocky Mountain Writing High, isn't she?
Heh. Yes. And it's great for her and she'll come back with soooo much done, but I miss her. We chat A LOT and she's funny and super wise and kind of motherly but in the coolest way and she's totally in my corner even though the food is bad and the decorations could use some work and she always comments on my LJ no matter how boring the post and makes me smile.
I am ever the queen of the run-on sentence.
Can and DOES.
*g* I'm wishing that hand would reach up and smack the writer.
It did get pretty frightening as the story continued.
i'm assuming that's from an UNPUBLISHED ms
What about the published ones? I have recently bought quite a few well-reviewed M/M e-books on Fictionwise and without mentioning any publishers coff*Toquere*coff I've seen 'Mexican boarder', 'pouring over the evidence' and a few other winceworthy typos that make me wonder whether the editors actually, you know - edit.

Yes. I always read that as a little shove between the shoulders from the gods. *g* There but for the grace of...

Perfection is unattainable, but...yeah. A lot of this stuff should be caught in edits.
Re: i'm assuming that's from an UNPUBLISHED ms
I know. And it is really, really crucial that epubs take extra care with this stuff now because their profile is rising with mainstream readers who have heard the quality of writing has vastly improved from the early days. The last thing any of us need is to confirm those old stereotypical criticisms.

Was he in a paint factory at the time? 'Cause...hey, it could happen.

Hey you. I see you cranking out the stories a mile a minute! Leave some for the rest of us. *g*
Hey! I highly recommend them.

You got quite the guava addiction goin' on there.
As in:
"This last week had been hellish. After being viscously splashed in the ribs and back on the last assignment..."
I hadn't thought of it, but you're right. This could be one of those spec fiction mermen crossover thingies!
It is English, and more important, it is COMMERCIAL.
Hey you!
It does indeed. And it gets stickier from there on out.
it ain't just the small presses
Re: it ain't just the small presses
Well, and actually it's not even just ebooks. Print books as well suffer from a lack of definitive copy-editing. And yet I know for a fact the major houses do indeed still copy edit.
